Fundraising Manager

Colobus Conservation, a well-established not-for-profit organisation based in Diani, Kwale, is looking to replace their Fundraising Manager who is moving overseas. Details of the organisation can be found on The ideal candidate will have an interest in conservation and environmental matters, have experience in fundraising or business development with the use of social media being a key aspect, be happy to be a member of a small management team and have excellent spoken and written English. The position will specifically involve:

  • •Driving and delivering Colobus Conservation’s fundraising strategy in line with the organizational strategic plan
    •Researching fundraising and grant opportunities
    •Ensuring grant applications are completed and go out on time
    •Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing donors and corporate supporters
    •Organizing and advertising local fundraising events
    •Initiating and driving social media and online fundraising campaigns on Global Giving and similar platforms
    •Participating in preparation of annual budgets
    •Issuing bi-monthly newsletters and other PR material
    •Updating the content of the website
    •Providing the Board of Colobus Conservation with regular written reports on fundraising matters and achievements
    •Supporting the General Manager when liaising with the local communities
